The Donald is BACK
I caught up on some Tivo this weekend and watched 3 episodes of The Apprentice I had cached. I enjoy the show, even though watching it feels a lot like being at work (I guess I like my work). One change I observed is that Donald Trump seems to be taking the active CEO role in this edition. He has advice, constructive criticism, feedback and interacts more with the candidates. In previous seasons just waltzed into the Boardroom and rendered verdicts like a judge, then vanished out the backdoor. Trump seems more relaxed, in his element (like when he was on Howard Stern and would be candid and forthcoming), and ultimately he is giving us more of himself, The Donald that we loved before the TV show. I am glad for the change and it makes this season even better. Bonus points to Ivanka Trump for bringing it. She is definitely NOT Alexis (Martha’s daughter) Stewart, whose weekly contribution to the show was to effectively say “Yeah, mom!”. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I half expected Ivanka to have a goofy accent! She is well spoken and flexes her Wharton honed mind. Thumbs up to this season of The Apprentice.
